Life is so fragile

It has been another 5 days since I've last update. During this time, my passport has been extended, I've earned extra money and spent a little more time with Amanda sweetie. In the same time, matters have blowned up and many unexpected events happened that I didnt expect to happen. I guess, and hope, that it would be over by this month's end.

Yesterday, I've worked double shifts. There was just the normal setup in the morning, along with a few other old-timers. There was Ron, Karen, Jessica and a few others. Since there were so many of us, we were released at around 3pm, leaving me with a 4 hour lag before my next shift starts.

So, I decided to go window-shopping and lunch with Jessica. The Long John Silver staff sucked and we complained by writing a note to their manager via tissue paper. Shortly after that, we went window-shopping around Suntec city and also spent some time at the arcade as well.

Fast forwarding to my night shift, I was working with this first-timer half way through the 9-course dinner when tragedy strikes. His father met an accident and almost instantly, I felt his cries for help as his eyes slowly began to turn red and swollen.

After having to inform Ameerek about his condition, he was allowed to go home. I pray that nothing bad happens to his father.

That made me realise that how life is so fragile. It could so be easily be snatched out of you if you are just not cautious for a second or two. In other words, it made me treasure the people I love more.

After work, I've rejected the offer to clubbing by Doreen and her clique since I was tired. I've reached home, bathed and slept till this early evening.
